Moins de deux semaines de la date limite du jubilé Marcel Doré...

For his 80th birthday, French composer Marcel Doré announces a study tourney. The tourney has two sections :
- Section A : theme free, but with not more than 12 pieces in the starting position.
- Section B : the entries (win or draw studies) must feature a strong ‘logical’ thematic try in which is reached, after a number of moves (foresight effect), a position similar to the one in main line of solution, with just a ‘small difference’.

Examples (section B) :

1)A.Sochniev
2nd prize, Problemist Ukraini 2009
Draw

- 1.c3+ ! Kf3 2.Rxg2 Kxg2 3.b5 Sg3+ 4.Kg6 Sf5 5.a5 f3 6.b6 Se7+ 7.Kg7 f2 8.b7 Sc6 9.a6 f1=Q 10.b8=Q Sxb8 11.a7 =
- Thematic try : 1.c4+ ? Kf3 2.Rxg2 Kxg2 3.b5 Sg3+ 4.Kg6 f3 5.b6 Sf5 6.a5 Se7+ 7.Kg7 f2 8.b7 Sc6 9.a6 f1=Q 10.b8=Q Sxb8 11.a7 and now the difference : 11…Qa1+ -+

2)J.Mikitovics & Jaroslav Polášek
