Vous vous rappelez sans doute de l’article consacré à l’association des thèmes Dombrovskis , Hannelius et mats échangés publié dans les pages de Maroc Echecs le 09 avril 2006 , repris dans la revue Diagrammes numéro 160 , janvier-Mars 2007. Le jugement de la revue hollandaise Probleemblad 2000 vient de confirmer une des compositions étudiée dans l’article en question. Le juge Peter Bakker a départagé les 81 compositions en compétition et a retenu 14 problèmes dans son jugement.
Voici son commentaire du 1er Prix :
« The two tries together with the set play show a Hannelius (tries:thr. 2.A/B,1...a !/b ! ;set : 1...a/b 2.B/A),whereas the tries plus the solution present a Dombrovskis (tries:thr. 2.A/B,1...a !/b ! ;key : 1...a/b 2.B/A).If the thematic moves of the Dombrovskis and the Hannelius are the same,a reciprocal change exists as well.I consider the presence of the Sushkov theme in the tries (dual avoidance in the threat) a valuable element. After the moves 1...Dxe5 and 1...Dxe6,black has lost the flight on e5,after which White can mate by 2.Dxb6 and 2.Dxc4,dualfree.If white takes care of e5 by guarding it ,both of these mating moves are threatened,but after 1.Cfxg4 2.Dxb6 has been ruled out whereas after 1.Cf7 2.Dxc4 no longer mates. As is usual with Dombrovkis and Hannelius : White must not reinforce,but must entice black to weaken himself.The complex content came at the cost of an apparent laborious construction ,having many pawns.Regrettable too is fact that there are no variation after try 1.Cfxg4.The presence oh The pseudo Le Grand is of little value. »
